Introducing himself this week is LA-based artist FRND (pronounced Friend). Reportedly a platinum-selling producer behind the scenes, who’s worked with some of today’s "most well-known acts" - FRND is now triumphantly stepping out on his own, with his eponymously-titled debut single ‘Friend’. A sugary sweet electro pop anthem for 'breaking up' with a friend, FRND appears to be pretty set on the idea of cutting a certain toxic person out of his life. Littered with intriguing electronic touches, and superlative melodic ideas - it’s a hugely accomplished debut offering. FRND’s debut EP is set for release via rising label Crooked Paintings later this year - and we’d wager it’ll be an absolute gem. -JC
